You might be getting the idea about how to choose, what to buy and how to prepare your food for home for fitness and weight loss, but what about when you eat out? How do you make sure that the food you choose is healthy and fitting for the “new you”. Well, there are ways and means of reading the menu and choosing the right type of food for your new lifestyle. It’s all about choices.
First thing to remember is . . . you’ve gotta mouth, use it (for something other than eating). Ask the chef to use only light oils, tell him that you don’t want salt in your veggies and that your veggie needs to be lightly cooked. Order brown rice, soya noodles etc. Make no mistake, many of the people in the world are getting fatter and more unfit, but equally there are many people who are realizing the “error of their ways” if you like and are making the choice to eat a healthy diet, to lose weight and to improve their fitness. Restaurants know this, they’re not silly, they’re in the business of giving people the food they want, and if you want healthy restaurant food then choose wisely and ask the right questions.
Seek out the healthy restaurants in your area, you might be surprised at the amount of choice you have.
Remember to choose the healthiest options, ask for light oil and no added salt, if in doubt choose a salad with a dressing on the side . . . that way you can choose whether or not the dressing fits in with your new life, and how much of it you feel happy to add.
It’s lucky he’s got someone looking out for his health! Watch and learn . . .
