Weight Loss: Healthy Recipes for Losing Weight – Breakfast Recipes
Breakfast, as we’ve already discussed, is the most important meal of the day. You need to break the fast – have something to eat in the mornings to set you up for the rest of the day. Breakfast doesn’t have to be complicated (which is a good job ‘cos who has lots of time in the mornings – not me). A good hearty breakfast really is the best way to start your day, and lose weight (‘cos it gets your metabolism going).
I’ve listed some breakfast recipes which are the perfect way to start your day, they’re healthy recipes, they’ll help you to lose weight and they won’t take hours of preparation.
Buck Wheat, Whole Wheat Flour or Oatmeal Pancakes
Remember what I said on the shopping page about buying what you usually buy but buying healthier brands, well, in order to make this recipe the best you can you need to use Hodgsons or some other healthy brand. Just add water and either a mashed up banana, sweet potato puree or a can of pumpkin.
Topping – a blender is the only piece of equipment you’ll need to make some really delicious and healthy pancake toppings. Try adding some frozen berries and a little unsweetened vanilla almong milk – makes a delicious thick topping for either pancakes or waffles.
Coach’s Oats For Breakfast
You can make some really delicious breakfasts using Coach’s Oats.
- #1 – Add enough water to the Coach’s oats so that they are just covered, bring to the boil and simmer until the water has been absorbed, then add some ground up apple, raisin, flax-seed, pure maple syrup and top with your favorite type of nuts and a little unsweetened vanilla rice milk.
- #2 – Alternative soak a bowl of Coach’s oats overnight and drain the following morning. Add fresh strawberry’s, papayas, walnuts, pecans, whatever takes your fancy and you have in stock.
Breakfast in a Hurry
Are you one of those people who is always running a little late and thinks they don’t have time for breakfast. That’s no excuse! There are plenty of things which you can grab for your breakfast in a hurry which take no time at all but will still help to start your day the right way, break the fast and stoke the furnace, so to speak!
- grab a couple of pieces of fruit – how easy is that?
- raw almonds – delicious
- a quick slice of cinnamon raisin sprouted wheat bread (toasted) then spread with raw peanut butter / almond butter / banana . . . whatever you like the best
